Board Goals
1. Academic Excellence
We will develop engaged citizens through an academic program that is responsive to individual learners and that integrates sustainability, innovation, and creativity across disciplines. Our curriculum will focus on the natural environment, interdisciplinary problem-solving, and the development of life skills necessary for success in a changing world.
2. The Student and Staff Experience
Goal A (Students):
We will enhance current programming and explore strategies to strengthen students’ social connections, sense of agency, and social-emotional growth. We will promote voice, responsibility, and belonging through learning experiences that center exploration, collaboration, and ethical technology use.
Goal B (Staff):
We will establish and maintain inviting, confidential, and communal work and break spaces for Woodhull staff members to enrich professional learning and foster personal and interpersonal wellness, reflection, and renewal. We will support staff in aligning practice with the district’s evolving vision through collaboration, professional growth, and shared purpose.
3. Long-Range Planning
We will work with all stakeholders to identify and pursue strategies that elevate the district’s identity as a regionally distinctive model of sustainable, place-based, and student-centered education. Through outreach, partnerships, and programming, we will strengthen enrollment and develop sustainable long-term opportunities aligned with the school’s unique mission and values.
